What is CHSP?

The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) is an Australian Government initiative designed to help older Australians live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes. CHSP provides a range of entry-level care services—from home maintenance to social support, social activities and respite care. By tailoring assistance to individual needs, CHSP not only helps maintain a comfortable living environment but also fosters community engagement and wellbeing. Services are accessible through My Aged Care, ensuring that each participant receives the right support at the right time.

How it works

At Better Connected, we believe that great care is never static. That’s why, following our comprehensive assessment and custom care plan, we schedule regular check-ins to ensure your evolving needs are met. These ongoing conversations allow us to fine-tune your support and promptly address any changes, ensuring that you continue to receive the highest standard of care tailored to your lifestyle.

  • Comprehensive Assessment: We start with a detailed evaluation of your care needs and preferences.

  • Custom Care Plan: Together, we build a plan that incorporates home maintenance, social support, care respite, and optional private care services.

  • Ongoing Support: Our team stays connected with regular check-ins, ensuring your plan adapts as your needs evolve.
